Arnprior and area is rich in history!

Opened in 1967, the Arnprior & District museum has recorded many eras with documents, artifacts, tools, fashions, home furnishings, maps & books. From the early fur-traders, to scottish settlers such-as Archibald McNab, to the great lumbering era operated by the McLaughlin and Gillies families. Here you will see such items as Archibald McNab’s walking stick, antique silver watches and King Edward V11’s tie pin.
